the lighthouse

The voyage
horizon
I sailed beyond the edge of known,
Through waves that spoke in undertone.
In salt and sky, I found a place,
Where time was slowed and fear lost pace.
The horizon whispered, vast and clear,
A path unfolding, drawing near.
I found new worlds awaiting there.
god rays
unbridled melancholy
I found a place where silence grew.
All hope that had returned anew
Was quickly dashed into the depths.
My sorrow formed of deep regrets.
The ocean vast, a mirrored glass,
Reflects the questions I let pass.
My darkened thoughts consume me whole
As sadness fills my hopeful soul.
How quickly fear can take its toll
ADRIFT
Tired Soul
Coming soon.
I sailed beyond the edge of known,
Through waves that spoke in undertone.
In salt and sky, I faced my soul,
And found a self I never stole.
The world grew quiet, clear, and bright.
My heart was drawn toward the light.
A lighthouse stood where sea meets land,
And there, at last, I came to stand
Among the waves, a place unplanned
I sailed out to ocean’s edge,
The waves settled upon my breath.
The sky before me opened wide.
My fear dissolved beneath the tide.
I found a place where silence grew,
And hope returned, alive and true.
Adrift upon the endless blue,
No stars to guide my way.
A whisper in the salted wind,
A soul that’s gone astray.
No compass true, no harbour near,
Just tides that pull me wide.
A ghost upon the ocean’s skin,
With hope and time denied.
